Black Forest turned a fine outing from starter Dermott Rafferty into a victory over the Rome Generals at The Den. The final score was 8-1. Rome now is 6-4.

Saleh bin Khoury had a big 2-run double for the Foxes in the bottom of the second inning. With Black Forest leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Ángel Castillo and swatted a double to center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Foxes ahead, 4-0.

"Dermott kept them off-balance, threw a great game for us," said Foxes manager DP Woodford.
