El Paso Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Monday, September 23rd , 2154 Fans of the El Paso Thunderbirds who thought the club was playoff-bound may have been a little too optimistic this year. The team was officially eliminated from postseason contention today. The Thunderbirds had a streak of 10 straight playoff appearances before this year. In the 26 years they have been a World Baseball Association franchise, they have made the playoffs 13 times. El Paso last won the WBA Championship Series in 2148. |
