IBL Player of the Week Selected Monday, August 28th, 2130 One of the league's most exciting young players, Juan Mesa of the Melbourne Meteors earned himself Intercontinental Baseball League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 25-year-old right fielder had a lofty .423 average (11-for-26), collecting 1 home run, 9 RBIs and 4 runs scored. So far this season Mesa is batting .330 with 20 home runs, 88 RBIs and 75 runs scored. He has 154 hits in 466 at-bats, 64 walks and a .411 OBP. Mesa has played in 120 games. |
