Avelar Touches All Bases, Hits for Cycle Friday, July 7th, 2124 Ruy Avelar of the Duluth Dragons had an outstanding game against the Stars. His 4-hit day included a cycle and 4 runs batted in as Duluth picked up a 13-6 victory at Stars Stadium. "My bat felt great, I was seeing the ball well and I found some gaps," he said. "As a hitter, it's all you can ask for." Ruy Avelar hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Alejandro Mendoza in the 9th. In 86 games Avelar is hitting .243 this season with 80 hits, 5 home runs, 37 RBIs, 29 walks, .305 OBP and has scored 34 runs. |
