Matsunaga Tosses Shutout Against Bergen Friday, July 8th , 2146 Magic was in the air and on the mound at Centurions Ballpark today as Naomi Matsunaga held the Bergen Castles spellbound in his 6-0 shutout victory. The Florence Centurions pitcher went the distance, rang up 11 strikeouts, walked 3 and held the Castles to 1 hit to garner the win. "He just had us in his thrall," Bergen manager said later. "We couldn't put anything together against him." In 17 starts this year Matsunaga has crafted a 10-7 record and a 2.11 ERA. |
