June's Top Starter Named in IBL-AAA Friday, July 1st , 2140 A standout performance in June earned Luis Hernández the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Intercontinental Baseball League. When his name was penciled in to start by the Faisalabad skipper, it meant trouble for opposing teams. For the month the Hawks star racked up 5 wins and no losses. In 36 innings of work, Hernández limited opposing batters to 24 base hits and a .200 batting average. He notched 33 strikeouts, issued 13 walks and had a 1.00 ERA. To date this year, Hernández shows a 11-1 record, 12 starts, 89.1 innings, 85 strikeouts and a 1.71 ERA. |
