Grand Rapids Beats Bergen in AAA World Series Tuesday, October 1st , 2154 The Grand Rapids Growlers were good enough to get past the Bergen Castles at Ballpark of Grand Rapids today and secure the 2nd championship in franchise history. "When you wear Growlers on your shirt, you're good at something," Grand Rapids skipper told the press. Growlers third baseman Joeri Vlasblom was named MVP of the series after he went .310 with 5 home runs and 13 RBI. "It feels totally incredible," Vlasblom said. "I could live to 1,000 years old and I'd remember this moment." The new champions capped off a great season with a 12-1 victory over the Castles to win the AAA World Series 4-3. |
