Vegueros Sato Blanks Taimascaros Thursday, May 24th , 2142 Pinar Del Rio Vegueros fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Makoto Sato blanked the Puerto Plata Taimascaros, 7-0 at Estadio Santo Domingo today. Sato stopped them on 4 hits while walking 4 and striking out 4. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Vegueros skipper said. "He was on top of his game in this one." Presently Sato has a 3-4 mark in 8 starts with a 3.20 ERA. He has given up 52 hits in 59 innings, struck out 42 and issued 28 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .246 batting average against him. |
