Tzederbaum Hurls Toucans to 5-0 Shutout Win Wednesday, June 15th , 2146 The Puerto Plata Taimascaros were almost helpless today in their 5-0 loss to the Porto Alegre Toucans and hurler Iosif Tzederbaum. Tzederbaum kept the Taimascaros confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Tzederbaum," Puerto Plata manager said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 26-year-old right-hander had no walks and 9 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Tzederbaum said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." This year Tzederbaum has a 7-3 record and a 2.31 ERA. |
