Asif bin Wazir handcuffed the Kalamazoo Six Strings at Kalamazoo Ballpark, coming away with a 2-hit, complete game shutout.
"I had everything working for me out there," the Pinar Del Rio Vegueros left-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With his stuff working, bin Wazir had little trouble with the Six Strings and led the Vegueros to victory, 4-0. He recorded 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in an impressive performance.
bin Wazir has fashioned a 7-9 mark for the season, 2.34 ERA and thrown 127 innings in 20 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .212 against him.
