Emperors Blank Shogun, Belocky Wins Friday, July 5th , 2143 Michal Belocky shut out the Sendai Shogun 1-0 on a 7-hit masterpiece for the Chongqing Emperors at Aberden Ballpark today. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Chongqing skipper said afterward. Belocky registered 8 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Sendai manager after the defeat. For the year Belocky has a 7-6 record with a 2.24 ERA in 16 starts. |
