Ageda Rips Oakland for 5 Hits Thursday, June 17th, 2128 It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Mitsuzuka Ageda of the Eugene Emeralds. The Eugene third baseman gave it his all and dominated Oakland Stars pitching today at Stars Ballpark, finishing with a great 5-for-5 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Stars going home the winner, 10-9. "There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Ageda said later. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead." Mitsuzuka Ageda hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and walked in the 9th. This season Ageda is batting .349 with 13 home runs. His totals include 55 RBIs and 60 runs scored. |
