ABL-R's Top Hitter Named Saturday, July 1st, 2130 When Don Shelton stepped up to the plate in June he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Americas Baseball League Batter of the Month award. The young La Romana right fielder posted a .473 batting average with no home runs, 24 RBIs and scored 21 runs. Shelton also worked pitchers for 6 walks to post a .500 on-base percentage. For the year Shelton has hit .441 with no home runs, 53 RBIs and scored 52 runs. |
