Campinas Whitewashes South Bend, Hauli Winner Wednesday, July 29th , 2144 Osano Hauli hurled a fine game for the Campinas Toucans at Ballpark of South Bend today, holding the South Bend Leprechauns to 4 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Campinas manager said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The right-hander had 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 11-0 victory. "An outstanding job," South Bend manager said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game." This year Hauli has made no relief appearances with no saves. In 145.1 innings, he has fanned 141 hitters and recorded 14 wins and 3 losses with a 2.04 ERA. |
