Chekhemani Picks Up Best ABL-R Batter Honors for July Saturday, August 1st , 2144 For a rookie just breaking in, Yunes Chekhemani certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the ABL-R Batter of the Month award for July. The 21-year-old right fielder for the Oakland Stars hit .389 with 6 home runs, 24 RBIs and 21 runs scored. So far this season Chekhemani is hitting .405 with 7 home runs, 40 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has 104 hits in 257 at-bats and a .528 OBP. |
