Star of the Week Honored in ABL-R Monday, August 13th, 2114 So far in his young career, Ronaldo Melchior has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the ABL Rookie League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Huntsville Phantoms third baseman hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 14 hits in 28 at-bats, no home runs, 9 RBIs and 16 runs scored. In this current campaign Melchior is hitting at a .294 clip with 15 home runs and 72 RBIs. |
