Perth Wins League Championship Series Monday, September 23rd , 2154 The Perth Perseids and Bonn Foxes didn't hold back anything in the League Championship Series, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the R World Series. Perth won the final game by a score of 8-2 at Seal Grounds and that concluded the series, 3-2. "Relief is the biggest thing," Perth shortstop Luis Hernández said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Bonn deserves credit for the hard fight." Hernández paced the Perth offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .476 with a .476 on-base percentage, 2 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Perth Perseids will play against the La Romana Toros in the next round. La Romana won their series against the Recife Jaguars 3 games to 2. The R World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes. |
