That's what Luis Rey was doing at Estadio Santo Domingo today as he blanked the La Romana Toros in a 9-inning complete game shutout. "I went out there to try to eat up innings and help out our bullpen," the Mackinac Trappers right-hander said later. "I felt I had my good stuff, and it turned out my command was solid." Rey notched 1 strikeout, surrendered 4 walks, allowed 6 hits, and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long. This season Rey has compiled a 5-3 record with a 2.63 ERA. |
