Toros Advance to R World Series Sunday, September 19th , 2151 The La Romana Toros are on to the R World Series, having knocked out the Recife Jaguars 3-1. The final blow came tonight at Estadio Santo Domingo, where La Romana sealed the League Championship Series with a 3-2 triumph. De Che was instrumental in the series win and was given MVP honors. Che hit .375 with a .412 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs. The La Romana Toros will play against the Naples Naturals in the next round. Naples won their series against the Nice Fleur-de-Lis 3 games to 0. The R World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes. |
