Thunderbirds Roll to 9-2 Win Over Coqui
The umbrellas came out during the El Paso-Puerto Rico contest at Thunderdome.

El Paso left-hander Tim Aldridge pitched his team to victory over the Puerto Rico Coqui at Thunderdome. The final score was 9-2. Aldridge went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-0.

António Ribadeneira dealt the Coqui a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and El Paso leading 1-0, Ribadeneira, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2143 draft, hit a 2-2 cutter for a 2-run double.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Ribadeneira.

The Thunderbirds raised their record to 2-0.
