Wheeler Takes Home IBL Batting Title

The 2151 Intercontinental Baseball League batting race was won by the Daegu third baseman. Wheeler topped the batting chart with a .352 average.
For the season, he cranked out 176 hits, 20 home runs, scored 93 times and batted in 90.

ABL Batting Title Belongs to Sosa

Los Angeles Stars first baseman Jesús Sosa put the final touch on a fine season by winning the 2151 Americas Baseball League batting crown.
The 25-year-old hitter was a pitcher's nightmare, hitting .341.
Sosa rapped out 210 hits in 615 at-bats with 37 doubles, 6 triples and 26 home runs. In addition, he played in 156 games, scored 91 runs and batted in 113.

Jaguars Win Tight Americas Baseball League Latin American Division Race

The Rio de Janeiro Jaguars may have had some self-doubt, but in the end they have prevailed as Americas Baseball League Latin American Division champions.
"When the standings are as close as they have been in the final days of the season, you start to wonder - can we really do this?" said closer Britt Leonard. "Thankfully I think everyone still believed and we got it done."
It's now off to the postseason, where the team will be trying to win the WBA Championship Series for the 10th time. The division title was the 15th for the Jaguars.
