Martin Now 2-1 After Subduing Emperors
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Nairobi Black Rhinos and the Beijing Emperors, Kent Martin was the difference-maker. The Nairobi right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Karl-Anthony Carpio picked up the save for Nairobi, his 6th of the year. The Emperors fall to 9-14 and continue their lackluster start in 2147.
The Emperors had little chance against Martin, who overpowered Beijing hitters and struck out 10.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Nairobi manager J Stell. "Our pregame was pretty good."
