Shogun Jolt Black Rhinos, 6-5, with Late Rally
|
Nairobi third baseman Haroun Sulaiman was sensational. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Tokyo beat the Black Rhinos, 6-5. Tokyo reliever Kei-thing Shang picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Pete Martin absorbed the loss. The victory makes Tokyo 17-13.
In the bottom of the ninth, Luther Schneider knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring single off Nairobi pitcher Pete Martin.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Tokyo manager Billy 1189.
