Trung Impresses in El Paso Loss
The El Paso Thunderbirds and Puerto Rico Coqui provided some drama for the home crowd.

El Paso right fielder Thao Trung had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-6, to Puerto Rico at Thunderdome. Trung went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The win belongs to Yoan Gérard in relief. His record improves to 2-1. José López took the loss for El Paso.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and one out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when shortstop Lu-po-teh Guao hit a sacrifice fly. The Coqui went on to win.

"I still think this team can play even better," Guao told the Puerto Rico Observer.

The triumph puts Puerto Rico at 43-36 for the season.
