The El Paso Thunderbirds powered past the Mexico City Aztecs, 12-0, at Thunderdome. Kyle Middleton went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2, to lead the charge. Oisín Raven got the win, improving to 8-6. He held the Aztecs to no runs on 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 3. El Paso raised its record to 61-25 with the win.

The Thunderbirds got an important contribution from left fielder Gianpaolo Belmondo, who in the bottom of the first knocked a first pitch cutter into center for a 2-run double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Thunderbirds ahead, 4-0.

"Winning never gets dull," said Belmondo.
