Shogun Jolt Black Rhinos, 8-3, with Late Rally
|
Tokyo Shogun starter Yoshifusa Hasegawa pitched a strong game against the Nairobi Black Rhinos at Tokyo Ballpark, leading the Shogun to victory, 8-3. The victory gives Tokyo a record of 61-46.
The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Ronnie Davis came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Nairobi pitcher Ognjeslav Kukcenjac, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Tokyo on top, 3-2.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Davis told the Tokyo Bulletin.
