Fitzies Win at Santo Domingo, 3-1
|
Estadio Santo Domingo was the site of a tense game between the Santo Domingo Palmchats and Gitche Gumee Fitzies.
Dae-il Kim was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Gitche Gumee and Santo Domingo. The Fitzies left-hander helped his team beat the Palmchats, 3-1. In 6 innings, Kim surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Jorge Garza was credited with the save for Gitche Gumee, his 4th of the season.
With one out in the top of the seventh, Hwi-gon Park had a game-changing hit. The Fitzies right fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Madhavrao Satyen, making the score 3-1, Gitche Gumee.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Park said after the game.
Gitche Gumee is now 18-21, Santo Domingo 25-14.
