Middleton Slugs Thunderbirds to 6-2 Win
The El Paso Thunderbirds defeated the Chicago Beefs, 6-2. Doing his part was left fielder Kyle Middleton, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. With the victory, the Thunderbirds upped their record to 84-38.

Middleton had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Teka Themba, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Thunderbirds a 3-0 lead. It was the 37th home run of the year for Middleton.

Middleton called the win "a team effort."
