Yamamoto Lifts Thunderbirds to Win
The El Paso Thunderbirds racked up a win at Thunderdome, bumping off the Havana Dolphins, 6-1. Hidehira Yamamoto, who started for El Paso, pitched effectively for his team. The Thunderbirds, at 93-41, have now won 5 straight.

Yamamoto, a native of Beppu, Japan, was dealing all game. He kept Havana hitters off-balance, while giving the Thunderbirds 9 quality innings. Yamamoto threw 112 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 7.
