Streaking Emperors Win Another One, 6-3
|
Behind a solid performance from catcher Matthew Ross, the Beijing Emperors defeated the Daegu Monks, 6-3. Ross was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Emperors. Kha'n Tran-Nhu earned the win for Beijing. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 1. With the win, he raised his record to 14-11. Ángel Carbajal earned the save, his 3rd in 4 tries.
Asfour bin Nawfal, the 23-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. bin Nawfal contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Beijing up, 2-1.
