Dolphins Shut Out Toucans, 1-0
|
The Havana Dolphins did just enough to sneak past the Sao Paulo Toucans, 1-0, at El Estadio Latinoamericano. Havana pitcher Ernest Davis, in particular, had a standout performance. You-yi Chang notched his 1st save in 4 chances. The victory puts Havana at 56-94.
The Dolphins got a big at-bat from shortstop Raymond Gordon. For the game, Gordon was 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Havana a 1-0 lead.
Davis attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
