El Paso Wins, 4-3, in Extra Innings
The El Paso Thunderbirds had to overcome a fine effort from Chicago pitcher Ramachandra Ghandi to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Thunderdome. Ghandi went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. El Paso is now 106-48, 29 games up in the Americas Baseball League North American Division.

El Paso won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Bao-tian Li on the mound for Chicago, pinch hitter Dennis Inarez hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Thunderbirds fans to their feet.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Inarez told the El Paso Daily.
