Thao Trung was a vital contributor to the 9-4 El Paso victory over Chicago. The Thunderbirds center fielder was 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Dae-il Kim, who went 7.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 6-1. El Paso has an impressive 107-48 record.

With El Paso leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Trung hit a slider from Kasim bin Kadar for a 3-run home run. It was his 59th home run of the season and put the Thunderbirds ahead, 6-0.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Trung.
