Falcons Turn Back Beijing, 4-2

Karachi Falcons starter Lance DeYoung turned in a top-notch performance against the Beijing Emperors at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium. The result was a win for the Falcons, 4-2. The winning pitcher was DeYoung, now 3-0. He tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 3. The win puts Karachi at 28-22 this season.
Gerald Holmes drew 1 walk for Karachi. The 24-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Kha'n Tran-Nhu. It was his 21st RBI of the season.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Holmes. "And not try to do too much."
