Ranjitsinhji Hits 2 home runs in Thunderbirds Win
|
El Paso first baseman Bahupatu Ranjitsinhji played a vital role in his team's 11-5 triumph over Gitche Gumee. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3 for El Paso. Minh-Khan Nguyen-Khoa earned the win for El Paso. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 6-3. El Paso is now 38-15, 4 games up in the Americas Baseball League North American Division.
El Paso used the timely hitting of Gianpaolo Belmondo to capture the win. The left fielder socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 8-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Ranjitsinhji.
