Ramírez Slugs Black Rhinos to 9-6 Win
|
The Nairobi Black Rhinos downed the Karachi Falcons, 9-6, at Rhinos Ballpark. The Black Rhinos were led by Tomás Ramírez. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 7. Karl-Anthony Carpio closed the door for Nairobi, picking up his 12th save of the year. Nairobi is now riding a 3-game win streak.
There was more than one reason the Black Rhinos beat the Falcons, but Ramírez's big at-bat in the bottom of the seventh was an important factor. He staked his team to a 8-5 lead when he hit a grand slam home run.
"We maximized our offense today," said Nairobi skipper J Stell. "That makes everyone's life easier."
