5 Straight Wins for Thunderbirds
A good performance from shortstop Ari Lueger helped the El Paso Thunderbirds defeat the Mexico City Aztecs, 7-5. Lueger went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Thunderbirds. Qian-fu Luo earned the save for El Paso, his 21st. The triumph puts El Paso at 53-20 for the season.

Lueger had a timely hit for El Paso in the top of the eighth. With Mexico City trailing 5-4, he turned a 0-2 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season, making it 7-5, El Paso.

"Ari is still learning," said Thunderbirds manager AP MP. "The sky's the limit for him."
