Kyle Middleton was a major contributor to the 5-2 El Paso win over Mexico City. The Thunderbirds right fielder was 2-4 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. José López earned the win to go to 2-0. He allowed 2 runs on 10 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. The Thunderbirds, now 8-1, have hit the ground running this season.

Middleton contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing triple, for El Paso in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Middleton took a fastball from Lúcio Caso and stroked the triple to right. His 2nd triple of the season allowed the Thunderbirds to leap in front, 3-2.
