Loewe Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, April 6th , 2151 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Paris's 5-4 win over Rome, first baseman Pengel Loewe was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Stade de France. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Loewe said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Pengel Loewe walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
