Padilla on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Rome
Tuesday, April 6th , 2151
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Ignacio Padilla, it came around today.
The 27-year-old second baseman scattered hits all over Stade de France to pace the 5-4 Paris Fleur-de-Lis victory over the Rome Generals.
Rome skipper Tx Horns told reporters in the press room that "Padilla deserves a hat-tip."
"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Padilla hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."
Ignacio Padilla grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
