Yoshino Scorches Foxes for 3 HR Sunday, April 11th , 2151 Fans are still buzzing after Oslo whipped the Black Forest Foxes by the score of 10-6 at The Den. Junji Yoshino smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the left fielder bashed out 3 hits in 5 at-bats, had 6 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Yoshino said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Yoshino said. "Three is just... wow." Junji Yoshino hit a solo-shot off Guntur Layar in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Guntur Layar in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Ed Douglas in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Yoshino is currently batting .390 with 5 home runs and 14 RBIs. |
