Players Suspended in Palmchats-Coqui Donnybrook Tuesday, May 16th , 2147 After an intense confrontation, both the Palmchats Jack Mitchell and the Coqui Izaac Kulovana were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Santo Domingo-Puerto Rico game. Jack Mitchell will miss 5 games, while Izaac Kulovana was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Jack Mitchell commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This season Mitchell is batting .359 with 5 home runs. His totals include 25 RBIs and 17 runs scored. This year Kulovana has gone 4-1 with an ERA of 4.41 and has 40 strikeouts in 49 innings. |
