Emperors End Thomas's Streak Thursday, May 18th , 2147 The Beijing Emperors pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Danny Thomas hitless in 3 at-bats during the club's 6-1 victory over the Tokyo Shogun at The Bird's Nest. The disappointing performance ended a 20-game hitting streak for the left fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Thomas said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." For the season Thomas is batting .336 with 46 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 19 times and batted in 22. |
