Toucans End Mitchell's Streak Saturday, June 3rd , 2147 Jack Mitchell's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 28 games today as the Santo Domingo Palmchats dropped their contest with the Sao Paulo Toucans 3-1 at Estadio Santo Domingo. Mitchell failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-4. After the game Mitchell spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. For the year Mitchell has hit .371 with 5 home runs, 27 RBIs and scored 21 runs. |
