Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Karani Sunday, June 4th , 2147 Abbas Karani of the Chicago Beefs tagged 2 hits in today's 8-2 loss to the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars at Beefs Stadium to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Abbas Karani flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Karani on the season is hitting .301 with 4 home runs. His stats include 18 RBIs and 35 runs scored. |
