Bahupatu Ranjitsinhji Drills 3 HR in One Game Tuesday, June 6th , 2147 Today was a special one for Bahupatu Ranjitsinhji of the El Paso Thunderbirds as he slammed three home runs in the 8-6 win over the Gitche Gumee Fitzies. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The El Paso first baseman collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 4, and scored 4 runs in the contest at Gitche Gumee Stadium. Bahupatu Ranjitsinhji hit a solo-shot off Dae-il Kim in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Allahditta Razavi in the 7th, struck out in the 9th, walked in the 11th and hit a two-run home run off Yee Song in the 13th. Thus far this year Ranjitsinhji is hitting .372 with 25 home runs, 56 RBIs and 58 runs scored. |
