George Lewis Gets Hit Number 2000 Wednesday, June 28th , 2147 George Lewis of the Black Forest Foxes earned his membership in the exclusive 2000-hit club this afternoon at The Den. The 37-year-old second baseman got his milestone hit in the Foxes 7-1 triumph over the Melbourne Meteors. Lewis went 2-for-5 for the game. Lewis is hitting .273 lifetime with 2000 hits, 337 doubles, 58 triples, 195 home runs and 762 RBIs to date. He has scored 1281 runs and stolen 423 bases.
