Robinson on a Rampage, Hits for Cycle
Sunday, July 23rd , 2147
The Melbourne Meteors topped the Daegu Monks by a score of 6-5 at Meteor Crater today but all the talk was on first baseman Wes Robinson.
The Melbourne star hit for the cycle in a show-stealing performance, powering his club to the win. Robinson went 4-for-5, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to go along with 4 runs batted in and 2 runs scored.
"I felt comfortable at the plate in a way I haven't felt all season," Robinson said after the game. "It was like they were throwing beach balls at me - the ball seemed that big. And it just floated in."
Wes Robinson doubled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, tripled in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Massin Ajayi in the 8th and singled in the 11th.
Thus far this year Robinson is hitting .311 with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
