Havana's Françisco Vina Suffers Setback Monday, July 24th , 2147 Françisco Vina, closer for the Havana Dolphins, was making great progress in healing a sprained wrist (wba) according to a team spokesman, but suffered a setback yesterday. "Françisco was doing great in his rehab until he overdid it in a recent workout. Now doctors say it will be at least 3 weeks before he will be able to rejoin the club." Françisco Vina is expected to undergo surgery in Havana(La Habana) tomorrow. This season Vina has no saves. In 30 relief appearances he has tossed 41.2 innings, struck out 40 and issued 31 walks with a 2-3 record. The Havana reliever has recorded a 4.32 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .182 when he is in the game. |
