Player of the Week: Young of the Shogun Monday, July 31st , 2147 His critics are starting to suggest that Tokyo's Phil Young doesn't have much left, but the 37-year-old Young prefers not to think that way. He cooked up a remarkable week in the last seven days, topping it off with the Player of the Week Award in the Intercontinental Baseball League. The veteran third baseman for the Shogun rolled to a .375 average (9-for-24) with 5 home runs and 10 RBIs. This season Young has 18 home runs and a .246 batting average. |
